As prices for Bitcoin have plunged from their mid-December high, so too has the cost of Bitcoin transaction fees, according to BitInfoCharts’ graphic on transaction fees. The price of a single Bitcoin transaction has plummeted from its peak of $55.16 per transaction on Dec. 22, 2017, to a skimpy $2.15 per transaction on Feb. 21. The transaction fees are tied to the volume of Bitcoin sales and purchases, reports Coindesk, noting it has fallen from 400,000 daily transactions in December to today garnering only 200,000 daily transactions.
