The Indian state of Maharashtra and Singapore’s central bank have formed a joint-partnership to develop FinTech innovations, including work in blockchain technology, according to a report in CCN. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is one of the early pioneers among central banks that researched the technology and developed its own cryptocurrency, the report notes. Under the joint-partnership pact, the two government organizations will explore the various applications for financial technologies, including blockchain, and share information and data, as well as hold talks about regulations to develop the sector, CNN reports.
