Bitwala expects to launch a new online bank account service within the next few months that will streamline transactions between fiat and cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin.com reports. The blockchain-based payment service company says prospective customers can pre-register for its new service, and that it currently has 57,000 users across over 200 countries, according to the report. Bitwala plans to link Mastercard debit cards to the new accounts, which will come with a German IBAN and BIC, and funds in these accounts will be guaranteed for up to 100,000 euros, the company claims in the Bitcoin report. However, it remains to be seen if Bitwala encounters difficulty with Mastercard, given recent events with Litecoin’s LitePay. Read more here.
