Louisiana’s attorney general is reportedly conducting a criminal investigation into members of his own technology department for allegedly using government resources to mine for cryptocurrency, reports The Advocate. The investigation follows the discovery of what is believed to be cryptocurrency mining hardware equipment at the state’s law enforcement office, the publication notes. The AG’s office underwent a massive upheaval in the fall, with half a dozen tech workers fired and its director ousted. Read more here.
