Ormeus Coin (ORME), which expects to soon release a new cryptocurrency wallet, Thursday touted the benefits of stationing its 15,000 square-foot mining center near a hydropower dam in St. Lawrence County, New York, an area dubbed the “Silicon Valley of crypto mining.” The dam, according to Ormeus Coin, provides low-cost power under the Preservation Power program, which aims to promote and protect jobs in the Massena area of upstate New York. Other countries where hydroelectric-powered crypto mining centers are popping up include Iceland, Switzerland, Canada and Paraguay, Bloomberg reports. Read more here.
