Snap Inc. joins the ranks of companies banning advertising related to cryptocurrencies. Since early February, the company has banned ads for initial coin offerings on its Snapchat app, Cheddar reports. The news follows Facebook’s decision to ban all cryptocurrency and ICO ads and Google’s announcement that it would halt all crypto ads. Twitter reportedly is considering a similar move. Snap’s ban applies only to ICOs, and a company spokesperson declined to say whether that would eventually expand to all crypto-related ads on its platform.
