More blockchain patent applications came from China in 2017 than any other country, the Financial Times reports. China was responsible for 225 filings last year, the newspaper says, while the U.S. had 91 and Australia had 13. The Financial Times cited data collected by Thomson Reuters from the World Intellectual Property Organization. Overall, 406 blockchain patents were filed last year. Read more here.
