New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman launched a fact-finding inquiry into the policies and practices of cryptocurrency trading platforms. Part of its broader effort to protect investors and consumers, the Attorney General’s office sent letters to 13 major virtual currency trading platforms asking for key information about their operations, internal controls, and safeguards to protect customer assets.
