Batavia, the blockchain-based trade finance platform that IBM developed with a consortium of five banks, made its first live pilot transactions with corporate clients, the tech giant said Thursday. Batavia was jointly developed by Bank of Montreal, CaixaBank, Commerzbank, Erste Group, IBM and UBS. The initial transactions on the platform included the trading of cars to Spain from Germany and textiles for furniture production to Spain from Austria. Read more here.
