The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) said it is taking action on misleading or deceptive practices in initial coin offerings. “These offers can involve significant risks for investors that are often not disclosed or well understood,” ASIC said in a news release Tuesday. Australia’s corporate regulator said it has issued inquiries into ICO issuers and their advisers when it spots conduct or statements that may be misleading or deceptive. As a result, some issuers have halted their ICOs or indicated that they will change their offering structures. Read more here.
