Microsoft’s Bing search engine has become the latest tech company to ban ads for digital currencies, according to Cryptoslate.com.
It is becoming harder to tell fraudulent blockchain-based platforms from legitimate ones based on the advertising, according to the company. The change was announced in a Microsoft blog post and it comes on the heels of similar announcements by Google and Facebook.
According to the Microsoft post, these changes will be reflected in the company’s official policies in June, and enforcement will begin later that month. Read more here.
