Can blockchain help seasoned journalists to offer viable alternatives to traditional newspapers?

A group of editors and reporters who left The Denver Post thinks so, The New York Times reports. They’re launching a news outlet called The Colorado Sun in partnership with the Civil Media Company, which wants to use blockchain technology to start new publications all over the country.

The journalists left The Denver Post amid newsroom layoffs and what editors described as editorial interference from the newspaper’s hedge fund owner, Alden Global Capital. Read more here.
