Peter Hirshberg, a principal with Swytch, said the conference theme this year combines the 1970s save-the-environment movement with new technologies that remove government and the middle man from the economic equation, which the decentralized blockchain certainly does. 

The application of blockchain to the clean energy sector, through solar power and wind power, offers incentives that will drive the public toward renewable energy sources, Hirshberg told the Aspen Daily News. Read more here.
