Many people are fervent believers in blockchain. Now they can join a blockchain church.

Wired recently reported that crypto entrepreneur Matt Liston and artist Avery Singer launched a blockchain church last month during the Seven on Seven conference in New York City. 0xΩ, as the religion is called, is actually a consensus protocol for the Ethereum blockchain. By contributing a stake in 0xΩ, the creators said, members of the church can vote on what best represents their religious identity.

The mysterious identity of bitcoin’s (BTC) founder, Satoshi Nakamoto, has long given the cryptocurrency the aura of a cult. Now, in this technological age, 0xΩ is gaining some traction online, according to Liston. Read more here.
