Flooding in China’s Sichuan province has damaged a major cryptocurrency mining operation, Cointelegraph reports, citing Chinese crypto information platform Golden Finance.

Chinese media reported that heavy rains on June 27 and June 28 caused flooding in Sichuan and four other provinces.

Golden Finance claimed a cryptocurrency mining operation in Sichuan was seriously affected and lost “tens of thousands” of mining devices, which seem “almost impossible” to repair,” according to Cointelegraph. It wasn’t clear which cryptocurrencies the devices were mining. Read more here.
