Financial Innovation and Payments Summit Sails Into Newport

Cryptocurrency and the future of blockchain are among the topics slated for discussion at the Financial Innovation and Payments Summit in Newport, R.I. this week.

Speakers include Indu Kodukula, who leads Intuit’s blockchain efforts; Scott Matsumoto, chief information security officer for crypto finance company Circle; and Ondrej Krehel, CEO and founder of New York-based cybersecurity intelligence and digital forensic firm Lifars.

World Blockchain Conference in Singapore

Blockchain enthusiasts will converge in Singapore for the World Blockchain Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday. The gathering is expected to draw 1,000 attendees to the Southeast Asian city-state to discuss topics including fintech regulation, blockchain tech applications in business and cross-chain communication.

Speakers include David Song, founder of the Global Mobile Gaming Confederation; Feng Li, head of Baidu FSG Blockchain Technology; and Yvonne Chiu, chairwoman of World Information Technology & Services Alliance.
