The U.S. city of Cleveland is known for many things. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Cavaliers basketball team when it featured superstar LeBron James. A river once so polluted it caught fire.

But now Cleveland wants to become known for blockchain. To that end it will host its first blockchain conference, called Solutions, Dec. 1-4.

Heading the effort is Cleveland car mogul Bernie Moreno, whose “Blockland” group includes David Gilbert, CEO of Destination Cleveland, who headed the host committee that brought to the Forest City the 2016 Republican National Convention that nominated Donald Trump to be U.S. president.
