A report from Forrester Research has found disenchantment with blockchain by those in the corporate world who read the hype, start implementing the digital ledger technology and then expect an immediate profit boost.

As many companies try to ramp up blockchain projects across their businesses, they’re running into problems with performance, oversight and operations, Bloomberg reports.

Forrester, meanwhile, sees a blockchain world where the “visionaries will persevere while those hoping for quick fixes will give up.”

Forrester analyst Martha Bennett writes that enterprise professionals working on blockchain projects recognize that “you need to be prepared to be in it for the long haul, as the true transformational potential of blockchain-based networks will take a long time to materialize, for non-technical as much as technical reasons.” Read more here.
