India, like China, has become one of those countries that ban cryptocurrencies but embrace the underlying blockchain technology.

Case in point: the southern Indian state of Telangana, which has partnered with IT services company Tech Mahindra to establish what it calls the country’s first “Blockchain District,” according to Indian newspaper The Economic Times.

The partners say the district will provide the environment and resources to foster the growth of Indian blockchain startups and companies. Read more here.
