The government of Hong Kong has published a wish list of the kind of professionals it wants working within its borders, and one of those is “innovation and technology experts” in, among other fields, blockchain and artificial intelligence.
Also among the 11 specialties listed are waste treatment specialists/engineers, trust fund managers, cybersecurity specialists, even music recording engineers.
If you desire to move to the autonomous region now part of the People’s Republic of China, “immigration facilitation is provided” once you meet the government’s prerequisites. Those in other fields are also welcome, the Hong Kong government said.
“Hong Kong welcomes talents from all over the world with valuable skills, knowledge and experience to work here, bringing their talent into full play and further developing their careers,” said Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, chief secretary for administration and chairman of the Human Resources Planning Commission.
