Jack Dorsey was busy on Capitol Hill. The CEO of Twitter was one of two social media executives testifying before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Wednesday about foreign influence in U.S. elections.

However, CoinDesk reported Dorsey also made an appearance before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce hearing that focused on alleged bias against political conservatives on Twitter. While testifying he responded to a question to say he is strongly thinking about how to use blockchain as a way of verifying the identity of Twitter users as a way to combat scams and misinformation.

“Blockchain is one that I think has a lot of untapped potential, specifically around distributed trust and distributed enforcement,” he testified, according to CoinDesk. “We haven’t gone as deep as I would like just yet in understanding how we might apply this technology to Twitter but we have people thinking about it today.” Read more here.
