Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges, denied rumors it axed staff and closed the doors of its Halifax, Nova Scotia, support office because of a security breach, according to a report in Finance Magnates.

The publication quoted a number of tweets claiming the San Francisco-based Kraken put hundreds of people out of work when it closed that office.

Kraken put up its own tweet denying the “rumor.”

However, according to the publication, that hasn’t stopped the rumors or concerns about the supposed security breach, details of which were not given.
