Many politicians in Italy have been making a lot of noise about the country leaving the European Union. But if one politician is correct, Italy won’t be leaving anytime soon.

Member of Parliament Mirella Liuzzi told Cointelegraph Italy will be joining the EU’s European Blockchain Partnership. The partnership, announced in April, allows EU member nations to share information and technical expertise and create one unified approach to blockchain technology.

Liuzzi said Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Social Policies Luigi Di Maio will sign the accord Friday in Brussels. She added the government will soon hire experts in blockchain technology to develop a national strategy for the sector. Read more here.
