Blockbid continued its recent flurry of activity, announcing partnerships on Wednesday with Whale Tech and TMA Solutions to increase the pipeline of blockchain developers ready to work on projects.
The Australian cryptocurrency exchange and the two companies are forming a blockchain development center to teach these developers blockchain principles and development languages.
The partnership comes amid a global shortage of blockchain developers, even as demand for this talent skyrockets. Last year, freelance talent marketplace Upwork saw blockchain rise to the fastest-growing skill out of more than 5,000 skills in terms of freelancer billings, a Techcrunch article in April reported.
In a statement, Blockbid COO David Sapper said the TMA Solutions partnership “allows us to scale-up our team almost instantly with a pool of readily available blockchain developers of the highest possible standard, as educated by Bernard Peh who will be facilitating the upskilling and coursework.”
Peh is the founder of Australia-based Whale Tech, a provider of blockchain development and consulting services and education. TMA Solutions is a 21-year-old Vietnam-based company that offers software outsourcing services in 27 countries.
“The partnership with TMA Solutions allows us to scale-up our team almost instantly with a pool of readily available blockchain developers of the highest possible standard, as educated by Bernard Peh, who will be facilitating the up-skilling and coursework,” said Sapper.
