For a workers paradise, the Communist nation of China sure has a lot of billionaires. Now you can add those people who made their billions from cryptocurrency and mining to the list.

And there is a list, “The Richest People in China,” as compiled by Hurun. To get on this wealth list you must be worth at least 2 billion yuan, or $288 million.

So who made the list? Six people from bitcoin mining firms and cryptocurrency exchanges now have net worth of more than $1 billion each. Overall, 13 crypto industry executives made it to the list.

The leader of this pack, Zhan Ketuan, chairman and co-founder of the mining firm Bitmain, has 29.5 billion yuan (or $4.25 billion), the report found. Wu Jihan, another Bitmain co-founder, followed with 16.5 billion yuan, or $2.38 billion, in net worth.

That is no coincidence. Six out of the total 13 crypto executives on the list are from Bitmain, which is planning an initial public offering in Hong Kong. Read more here.
