Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple, has proclaimed his love of bitcoin (BTC) and warned of a blockchain bubble. Perhaps he has changed his mind about blockchain because he has co-founded Equi Global, a blockchain-backed venture capital fund.

The U.K. website Verdict reported Wozniak will be in charge of, among other things, finding those technology companies he thinks worthy of Equi’s investment. Wozniak joins founder Doug Barrowman and co-founder Baroness Michelle Mone.

“I get ideas pitched to me every single day; in fact, dozens. I always say no. Since I co-founded Apple with Steve Jobs, this is about the second time in 20 years that I actually said yes,” said Wozniak.

Equi targets investors who buy into the venture capital fund through the purchase of EquiToken, a token infrastructure build on the Ethereum platform.

It’s a good time to be a hedge fund. Blockchain research group Diar recently reported blockchain and cryptocurrency startups have raised nearly $3.9 billion through VC investments in the first three quarters of the year, which is a 280 percent increase compared to the whole of 2017.
