Consulting firm Accenture has developed what it calls a “game-changing” way to let multiple blockchain platforms “talk” to each other. The firm was quick to apply for two patents on it.

Blockchain Technology reported a prototype has shown it possible for various blockchain platforms including bitcoin (BTC), Hyperledger Fabric, R3 Corda and Quorum to be securely integrated with one another.

David Treat, managing director and global blockchain lead at Accenture, said the secret is an interoperability node that acts as the conduit for communication because it is contains business standards, policies and guidelines by which the various platforms have agreed to work.

After all, if you want more companies to use and invest in blockchain technology, having platforms that can work together as one lessens a company’s fear of picking the “wrong” system. Read more here.
