Microsoft is partnering with Nasdaq on blockchain technology. The software giant will integrate its cloud-based Azure blockchain services with Nasdaq’s Financial Framework, which offers software for traders, exchanges and clearinghouses to interact with each other.

According to Microsoft’s press release, the idea of the partnership is to create a blockchain system that helps different technologies work together for Nasdaq customers. Microsoft business development chief Peggy Johnson revealed the partnership during a conference hosted by Bloomberg.
