ConsenSys took time off from space exploration to announce “ConsenSys Grants,” a $500,000 fund to encourage the growth of Ethereum-based projects. The bounties and grants for open-source projects will be dispersed in amounts of $10,000 to $25,0000 via Gitcoin.
According to the company’s press release, the grants, unveiled during the recent DevCon IV conference in Prague, Czech Republic, will be rolled out starting early next year and will continue throughout 2019.
“Applicants will have the opportunity to apply under categories, which will be determined by the wider Ethereum community in an effort to support decentralized decision making,” the company said. “For now, ConsenSys will support projects that focus on infrastructure, research, user experience, design, interoperability and developer tools.”
