Blockchain, the digital wallet company, really wants to help cryptocurrencies go mainstream. That is why it is giving away $125 million worth of Stellar’s lumens (XLM) to Blockchain’s users.

This could be the largest such airdrop ever; at least, that is what Blockchain claims.

According to the company, the first batch of wallet-owning recipients will receive their lumens this week for free.

“We believe that airdrops are central to creating a more inclusive digital economy,” said Jed McCaleb, co-founder of Stellar Development Foundation, in a statement. “Giving away lumens for free is an invitation to communities to design the services they need. Our hope is to eventually have global citizens own and use lumens, in both developing and developed economies.” Read more here.
