Ambrpay, a blockchain startup, won the $100,000 first prize in the finance category at the CV Summit in Zug, Switzerland.

The Swiss company helps consumers use cryptocurrency to pay for subscription services such as Netflix and Spotify. Ambrpay’s platform, which is in pilot mode, currently supports ether (ETH) payments. Ambrpay’s founder Andreas Hauri is a neuroscientist turned entrepreneur.

The CV Summit is among the major gatherings in the northern Swiss town, center of the country’s Crypto Valley, a global hub of blockchain development. The event focused on innovations resulting from distributed ledger technology. Read more here.
