The U.S. midterm election Tuesday featured a plethora of hotly contested races on the national, state and local levels, including all 435 members of the House of Representatives. It also featured $2 million in betting on the Augur decentralized prediction platform, according to its CEO.

Jeremy Gardner said bets placed on the outcome of the various midterm races initially reached $900,000 and eventually surpassed the $2 million mark. The exact nature of the bets was not detailed.

CCN reported that since Augur’s launch on the Ethereum mainnet in July, it has seen a big increase in bets and active users. Read more here.
