Microsoft sees an Azure blockchain in its future. The software behemoth launched a cloud-based blockchain development kit powered by its Azure data service.
The Next Web reported the initial release will focus on connecting interfaces, integrating data and systems and deploying smart contracts and blockchain networks. Microsoft calls the kit an “end-to-end” blockchain solution.
The development kit, explained in a white paper, is intended to provide SMS and voice interfaces for tracking and supply chain solutions, integration with internet of things devices and support for mobile clients like Android and iOS. The kit will be compatible with different ledger technologies including Ethereum and bitcoin (BTC). Read more here.
