Blockchain companies EMURGO/Cardano, Fetch.AI, NEM and Ripple have formed “Blockchain for Europe” to represent European blockchain companies and create one voice for the industry in Europe.

In a statement, Dan Morgan, head of regulatory relations in Europe for Ripple, said, “This is a critical time for policymakers in Europe as they seek to develop the right regulatory framework to capture the benefits of both digital assets and blockchain technology.”

This is not the first time Ripple has formed an industry lobbying group. In October it helped form the Securing America’s Internet of Value Coalition to lobby the U.S. Congress and assorted federal regulators on blockchain and cryptocurrency issues. Read more here.
